BMW's flagship sedan, the 7 Series, has held the top spot in Korea's imported full-size sedan market for five straight months this year.
On the 29th, the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) said the BMW 7 Series, including the all-electric BMW i7, sold a total of 2,590 units from January to May this year, the highest sales among imported full-size sedans in Korea. It also recorded the highest sales in the imported full-size car category in Korea.
The 7 Series is the model that sets the brand's direction at BMW, built on design, digital experience, and the latest driving technologies. The 7 Series lineup includes the gasoline 740i, diesel 740d, plug-in hybrid 750e, all-electric i7, and high-performance i7 M70.
BMW Korea cites exclusive benefits offered only to 7 Series owners as the secret to the model's popularity. The BMW Excellence Club, a membership program for BMW Luxury Class customers, offers tailored experiences across all aspects of life—from culture and travel to leisure and health—beyond vehicle care.
The BMW Excellence Club aims to deliver experiences that are hard to quantify in monetary terms. The BMW Group is an official sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival, and BMW Korea selects VIP attendees for the festival held in May each year by lottery, offering red carpet access and participation in official screenings.
In addition, BMW runs the BMW Individual program for 7 Series customers, supporting up to 300,000 combinations of personalized options, including exterior colors and interior materials.
BMW Korea is also running a financing promotion for recent 7 Series buyers. Customers who purchase a 7 Series through BMW Financial's Smart Lease program can receive lease support worth a total of 10 million won—1 million won per month for 10 months.
