Hyundai Glovis is pushing a transition to work based on artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to strengthen employees' AI utilization capabilities to boost work efficiency and embed AI within the organization.
Hyundai Glovis said on the 25th that it recently ran the first "AI Boot Camp" for employees. The AI Boot Camp is an in-house training program in which employees directly use AI agents and other tools to help improve their work.
Participants selected by each business division carried out innovation projects linked to real tasks after six weeks of hands-on training using AI agent tools, coding agent tools and more.
For example, a participant from the car carrier business division built a voyage operations portal based on vibe coding (a method in which AI implements code when requirements are entered in natural language). Previously, information needed for ship operations—such as routes, port facility information and stevedoring costs—had to be searched and checked in individual databases.
Using the portal built this way allows faster, easier handling of tasks such as detailed inquiries on port information, calculating stevedoring fees and viewing operational manuals. Hyundai Glovis plans to apply the best cases to actual work.
Chief Executive Lee Gyu-bok of Hyundai Glovis said, "For AI internalization, members of the organization must feel the need to use AI and spread it through their own participation," adding, "Now is the time to use AI to achieve work efficiency, then use the time secured to care for customers and create added value."
