At the CEO town hall meeting held that day at the Safety Culture Center of the Dangjin Steelworks in South Chungcheong, Lee shared the progress of Vision 2032, Hyundai Steel's future growth roadmap, and said as much. Vision 2032 is Hyundai Steel's mid- to long-term strategy to secure leadership in the future steel market by boosting the competitiveness of automotive steel sheets and construction steel materials and preoccupying the market for low-carbon products.
Lee emphasized that, given the difficult internal and external conditions of the steel industry, the company's growth strategy should be turned into an opportunity for a new leap forward. He also said, Vision 2032 must go beyond a simple declaration and lead to on-site execution.
At the event, Hyundai Steel also unveiled its work standards manual, the Steelmaking Recipe Book. The Steelmaking Recipe Book is a document that organizes the on-site know-how and decision criteria accumulated by employees and is intended to standardize work methods and strengthen execution. It carries the message, Judge by the standards, share immediately, and take responsibility to the end.
Lee said, Innovation in the way we work is not something grand, but about systematizing the good precedents we have built up on site and applying them to real work, adding, When all employees work based on the same standards, we can create greater results.
