Nexen Tire said on the 15th it will supply original equipment tires for Hyundai Motor's flagship sedan, the New Grandeur. Nexen Tire previously supplied the initial seventh-generation Grandeur and will continue the partnership with this facelift model.
The product being supplied is the flagship all-season tire "N'Fera Supreme S" for high-performance premium vehicles. The tire applies a low-noise sound-absorbing material system (NRS) that reduces resonance noise generated while driving. It also uses an artificial intelligence (AI) big-data-based low-noise pattern design to minimize the inflow of road noise and vibration into the cabin, delivering excellent quietness and ride comfort.
A Nexen Tire official said, "In addition, we secured outstanding grip and high-speed driving stability by applying an AI-based load distribution design and a 4D compound," adding, "Optimized sipe and groove designs maintain stable performance even after wear." The official said the aerodynamic sidewall design reduces rolling resistance and improves fuel efficiency.
Nexen Tire has supplied the N'Fera Supreme S as original equipment for Hyundai Motor's flagship sport-utility vehicle (SUV), the All New Palisade, as well as for Korea's first mass-produced hydrogen electric SUV, the All New Nexo. The New Grandeur supply is also in line with this strengthening of the strategic partnership.
