Volvo Cars Korea said on the 11th it has begun preorders for the next-generation flagship electric sedan "ES90." The official domestic launch date is July 22.
The ES90 is a model developed based on Volvo Cars' latest SPA2 architecture and software-defined vehicle (SDV) strategy, characterized by a new interpretation of the traditional sedan format tailored to the electrification era. It was first unveiled in the global market in March last year.
The ES90 sold domestically will be offered with three powertrains: ▲ single motor extended range ▲ twin motor ▲ twin motor performance. Based on an 800V electric system, it can travel up to 706 km on a single charge under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
For domestic starting prices, the single motor extended range is set in the mid-70 million won range, and the twin motor in the high-70 million won range. This is based on the anticipated application of eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits and is subject to change depending on confirmation. All trims and detailed pricing will be announced with the domestic launch.

Preorders for the ES90 run from June 11 at 39 official Volvo Cars showrooms nationwide, and detailed information about the vehicle is available on the official Volvo Cars Korea website.
