Renault Korea has set the monthly payment for the global flagship hybrid crossover "Filante" at about 280,000 won, drawing attention. The move reflects that more consumers are considering not only vehicle prices but also fuel and maintenance costs amid recent high oil prices.
According to this month's sales terms released by Renault Korea on the 11th, the "Filante Hybrid E-Tech Iconic trim" can be used for 279,000 won per month by paying 30% down and using a 60-month installment plan with residual value guaranteed by the affiliated finance company (MFS). The price of this trim, based on the application of the special consumption tax cut and eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits, is 46.969 million won.
In addition, through the "5-year worry-zero buyback" program, if the annual mileage condition of 10,000 kilometers or less is met, the agreed residual value is guaranteed even after five years, allowing customers to return the vehicle without additional payments or to own it through additional installment products.
On top of that, five engine oil changes, five air-conditioning filter changes, a premium vehicle inspection service, and benefits for brake oil and transmission oil changes, as well as an extended warranty, are provided to reduce the burden of vehicle maintenance—features that characterize this program.
Even without these sales terms, the Filante offers product strengths suited to today's era of high oil prices. The Filante's E-Tech hybrid system delivers up to 250 horsepower. The electric motor and engine work efficiently depending on driving conditions to reduce fuel use, and it also offers the quiet driving feel unique to hybrids, making it suitable for office workers who commute frequently.
It is also rated favorably for driving satisfaction. Based on a 2,820-millimeter wheelbase (the distance between the front and rear axle centers), the Filante has ample interior space. It also applies various technologies—such as first-class lounge seats, a frequency selective damper (SFD), active noise cancellation (ANC), and laminated acoustic glass—to deliver ride comfort and quietness.
It is also noteworthy that purchasing a Filante this month qualifies buyers for a special consumption tax cut. The automobile special consumption tax reduction is scheduled to end at the end of this month, and it is applied based on the vehicle delivery date, not the contract date.
