Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar said it will begin online sales of the 2027 Polestar 4, a midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV), from 3 p.m. on the 10th.
Key features of the 2027 Polestar 4 include: name change, design and detail enhancements, reconfiguration of trims and packages, strengthened driving balance through chassis tuning, and price adjustments of up to 2 million won.
First, the model name changed from the previous "Polestar 4 SUV Coupe" to "Polestar 4 Coupe" starting with the 2027 model year. A Polestar official said it was to "more intuitively convey the unique design identity that combines the space of an SUV with the dynamic silhouette of a coupe."
The trim lineup has been reorganized into three: rear motor, dual motor, and dual motor performance. The rear motor and dual motor trims come standard with a chassis featuring high-capacity passive dampers, new springs and anti-roll bars, and a polyurethane (PU) rebound stop.
Steering precision has been improved, and the retuned chassis setup allows stable control of powerful performance. The Polestar 4 Coupe delivers up to 400 kW (544 horsepower) and takes 3.8 seconds (dual motor) to reach 100 km/h from a standstill.
The Polestar 4 Coupe emblem also changed from the previous body-matching color to a contrasting color. Black emblems are applied to the Storm and Electron exterior colors, while gray emblems are applied to the Snow, Magnesium, and Space exterior colors.
The price remains 66.9 million won for the rear motor, the same as before, while the dual motor is set at 69.9 million won, down 2 million won from before. Driving assistance features, including Pilot Assist, remain standard on the 2027 model. The Plus Pack, which includes the Harman Kardon premium audio system and pixel light-emitting diode (LED) headlights, is 6 million won. The Nappa upgrade has been reduced from 4.5 million won to 4 million won.
Ham Jong-seong, head of Polestar Korea, said, "Polestar 4 proved its competitiveness in the premium EV market by ranking No. 1 in luxury EV sales last year and in the first quarter of this year," adding, "The 2027 Polestar 4 Coupe further strengthens driving balance and product appeal to reflect domestic customers' strong interest in high-performance EVs and preference for premium options, and we will continue working so more customers can enjoy premium EV experiences in their daily lives."
