Samchully Co. said on the 10th that it appointed Executive Vice President Kim Tae-seok as the new CEO of SamchullyEV to strengthen competitiveness in the electric vehicle business and respond to the future mobility market.
Kim joined Samchully Co. in 2001 and worked across the group's key institutional sectors. In 2015, as head of strategy at Samchully's Future Strategy Division, Kim led the development of mid- to long-term growth strategies, and since 2019 served as head of Samchully Motors and head of the Sales Division, driving expansion of the auto dealer business and enhancing competitiveness. In 2023, Kim headed Samchully's Management Support Division, gaining experience across overall management.
Samchully Co. appointed Kim, who has experience in strategy, sales, and management, to respond to the rapidly evolving auto industry environment marked by electrification and digital transformation. Based on expertise and on-site experience built in the auto business institutional sector, Kim plans to push for expansion of the electric vehicle business and strengthen competitiveness in customer service.
Kim said, "As the external environment changes rapidly, it has become even more important to provide customers with differentiated value and experiences," and added, "We will do our best to ensure SamchullyEV grows into a company that builds on customer trust."
SamchullyEV appointed Executive Director Jeon Tae-hui as the new head of the Sales Division. Jeon is an expert who has overseen sales and organizational management in the imported car industry for more than 20 years and served as CEO of Kolon Auto.
Jeon has led performance while overseeing sales and organizational operations at major imported car brands including BMW, MINI, and Audi. SamchullyEV expects Jeon's extensive on-site experience to help strengthen the company's sales competitiveness.
