Daedong Group said on the 2nd that it has hired Vice President Cho Sung-woo, who served as Deloitte Private (DP) leader and equity partner at Deloitte Korea, as head of the management planning division, and Vice President Yoo Yong-gyu, who oversaw future business strategy and operations at KT, as head of the Daedong Mobility Co. business.
Daedong is pursuing management tasks this year that include AI and Robotics-based product innovation, a companywide artificial intelligence transformation (AX), and making revenue growth visible. Through this personnel move, the company plans to advance AX-based management innovation and operational efficiency, shift to a farming operations platform using agricultural physical AI, and expand its robotics and mobility businesses.
Vice President Cho Sung-woo will oversee management planning, finance, HR innovation, and AX innovation, and will be responsible for establishing an AI-based management system and advancing organizational operations. Cho worked for about 29 years at consulting corporations including Samil PwC, KPMG, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL). He provided consulting to large corporations and mid-size corporations at home and abroad in management planning, cost control, financial accounting, and performance management.
Vice President Yoo Yong-gyu, as head of the Daedong Mobility Co. business division, will lead new business development in robotics and mobility, including the small tractor and construction equipment businesses, and will oversee the Daedong Robotics business. At KT, Yoo handled mid- to long-term growth strategy and investment and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Yoo led the establishment and execution of strategies in future business areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, robots, and healthcare. Most recently, as head of the public projects division, Yoo oversaw a large-scale AX transition in the public sector.
