Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) moved to support fundraising for promising corporations in carbon-reduction technologies.
Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) said on the 1st that it held a "joint investor relations (IR Mart) in carbon-reduction technologies" with Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) at The Potential in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, on the 29th of last month.
The event was prepared to expand fundraising opportunities for outstanding technology corporations in carbon reduction through cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprise support agencies under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and to back the achievement of the national greenhouse gas reduction target and the realization of carbon neutrality.
At the event, nine outstanding carbon-reduction corporations that received green transition guarantee support such as carbon value evaluation guarantees and taxonomy evaluation guarantees from Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) and that succeeded in or were selected for Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME)'s carbon-neutral commercialization support program took part. Domestic venture capital (VC) officials, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) officials, and others, including Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), also attended and joined the investor presentation and networking programs.
During the investor presentation, participating corporations drew interest by presenting their carbon-reduction technology competitiveness and business models to investors. In the subsequent one-on-one investment consultations, tailored counseling that reflected each corporation's investment needs and Q&A were conducted, followed by time for free communication between participating corporations and investors.
The two agencies plan to use this event as a springboard to steadily pursue joint cooperation measures to support the growth of corporations in carbon-reduction technologies.
Lee Jae-pil, a director at Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), said, "Through this joint IR Mart, we established a practical foundation for cooperation to energize fundraising for outstanding carbon-reduction technology corporations," and added, "Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) will continue to expand collaboration with related agencies to actively support the growth of Climate Tech corporations and contribute to achieving the national greenhouse gas reduction target."
