Autonomous Driving V2X (vehicle-to-everything) semiconductor specialist Ettifos has simultaneously obtained international standard certifications covering quality, environment, and occupational health and safety, accelerating its push into global markets.
Ettifos said on the 1st that on the 28th it obtained the so-called "three integrated ISO certifications" established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO): ▲ ISO 9001 (quality management system) ▲ ISO 14001 (environmental management system) ▲ ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management system).
The certifications were pursued so Ettifos could meet the partner registration and product purchasing criteria of major overseas corporations as it expands its global cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) business. By establishing a product development, production, and supply system based on international standards, the company has further strengthened its foundation for entering global supply chains.
In particular, after successfully commercializing a 5G-V2X modem based on a software-defined modem (SDM), Ettifos recently earned the top TI-1 grade in the NICE Information Service technology credit evaluation (TCB), gaining recognition for its technological competitiveness. The company has also established a compliance system for the "BABA (Buy America, Build America)" requirements to enter the U.S. market and secured a local production base in Texas, continuing investments to expand its North American business.
Based on this strategy, Ettifos has been winning related projects ordered by state departments of transportation (DOT) across the United States, including the Maricopa County V2X project in Arizona, delivering results. The company expects the integrated ISO certifications to serve as an important competitive edge in future bids for U.S. public projects and in entering global large corporations' supply chains.
Recently, Ettifos has been expanding into high-reliability direct-communication modem markets such as logistics vehicles, construction machinery, and the defense industry, based on its V2X direct-communication modem technology applied to traffic safety and Autonomous Driving vehicles.
An Ettifos official said, "The three integrated ISO certifications mean our management system has been officially recognized at a global level," adding, "We will lead the global V2X communications market based on quality innovation and sustainable management."
