Doosan Enerbility said on the 26th that last week it signed back-to-back long-term parts procurement contracts (LTPM) for three gas turbines at the Goyang Changneung combined heat and power plant and the Hadong combined-cycle power plant promoted by Korea Southern Power (KOSPO). The two contracts are worth about 480 billion won.

The agreement is linked to the gas turbine supply contract signed in Feb. The two plants aim to begin commercial operation in Dec. 2029. The contract period typically runs for more than 10 years, based on major maintenance cycles after commercial operation.

Through this agreement, Doosan Enerbility will supply high-temperature gas turbine parts, perform refurbishment and maintenance, supply consumable materials, and provide technical support services. Refurbishment and maintenance is a service that regularly repairs and overhauls key gas turbine components to make them reusable.

Son Seung-woo, head of the Power Service BG at Doosan Enerbility, said, "This agreement is significant in that, following the supply of domestically produced gas turbines, we are now connecting long-term services to support the entire lifecycle of customers' power plant operations," and added, "Based on our experience in manufacturing main equipment and performing services, we will provide a stable maintenance system and continue to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic gas turbine services business."
