BMW Korea said on the 11th that it released in Korea the BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe M Performance with enhanced features. The new model applies the M Performance package composed of a black kidney grille and M Lights Shadow Line and strengthens key specifications such as the seats, interior leather materials, and suspension.
The BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe is a four-door coupe that blends luxury with the dynamism of a high-performance model. Based on a V8 engine, it offers powerful driving performance and a comfortable ride, and it is also rated highly for combining the practicality of a four-door model.
According to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA), the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe ranked as the best-selling BMW M brand model in 2024. Last year, 572 units were sold, the second-highest sales figure.
The exterior of the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe emphasizes a dynamic presence with the 8 Series' signature low and wide proportions and a long, flowing roofline. At the front, a kidney grille with BMW Iconic Glow, slim headlamps, and a bold bumper design harmonize to create a more aggressive impression. U-shaped bars inside the grille and subtly flowing illumination elevate the sense of luxury.
The interior combines the dynamic sensibility of a high-performance model with the dignity of a luxury car. BMW Individual Merino leather, an M Alcantara Anthracite headliner, a crystal gear selector, and an M leather steering wheel with M-color stitching create a luxurious, refined atmosphere.
Convenience and safety features have also been strengthened. In addition to the latest driver-assistance functions such as Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Plus, premium features including 4-zone air conditioning, a Heat Comfort Package, a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, soft-closing doors, and roller sun blinds are applied.
The M850i xDrive Gran Coupe is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 M TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 530 horsepower and peak torque of 76.5 kg·m. It is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and the BMW xDrive system. As a result, it can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
It also features Adaptive M Suspension, an M Sport differential, M Sport brakes, and the M Technology Package to enhance high-speed stability and cornering performance. In addition, the rear-wheel steering system Integral Active Steering supports agile movements at low speeds and stable body behavior at high speeds to enable precise driving.
BMW Korea operates the "BMW Excellence Club" for customers who purchase the 7 Series, 8 Series, X7, XM, and more. Each year, a drawing offers VIP access to the Cannes Film Festival in France and priority invitations to major brand events. Starting this year, through "Curation by Excellence," members can also choose from programs such as golf lessons, art exhibitions, and whisky classes and participate twice a year.
