AI education corporations WeverseBrain said on the 15th that it participated for the second straight year in "EDIX Tokyo 2026" through its Japan subsidiary, Weverse Japan.
EDIX Tokyo 2026 was held at Tokyo Big Sight from the 13th to the 15th. WeverseBrain showcased its AI language learning platform "MaxAI" at the event. With the number of foreign workers in Japan reaching a record high of 2,571,037, it targeted language and communication needs among corporations in Japan and their foreign employees. The setup allows Japanese employees to learn English with a Japanese interface, while foreign employees can learn Japanese through an interface based on their native language.
MaxAI, based on a large language model (LLM), analyzes a learner's conversation level and dialogue flow to support free-form conversation. An AI tutor adjusts vocabulary and sentence difficulty to the learner's level to provide real conversational experiences.
It also offers "business role-playing" content that reflects real work environments such as office work, hotel hospitality, and caregiving. Through this, it helps strengthen Japanese employees' English response capabilities and supports foreign employees in adapting to Japanese corporations' culture.
During the event, the Weverse Japan booth was visited by human resources managers from Japanese corporations, officials from educational institutions, and executives at corporations pursuing expanded hiring of foreign nationals. Some corporations showed interest in adopting educational content for employees working overseas. Representatives of local AI English conversation companies discussed the potential for service collaboration.
Chief Executive Cho Se-won of WeverseBrain said, "This year we participated in EDIX with a solution squarely aimed at the training challenges that Japanese corporations actually face with foreign workers," adding, "The fact that both Japanese employees' English learning and foreign employees' Japanese learning can be addressed on a single platform drew strong interest from Japanese corporations."
