Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) said on the 13th that labor and management held the "2026 wage and collective agreement signing ceremony and labor-management win-win agreement declaration."
KAI's labor and management, through the declaration ceremony held at KAI headquarters in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang, that day, pledged one-team cooperation to achieve this year's management goals. About 30 executives and union officials, including President Kim Jong-chul and Labor Union Chairperson Kim Seung-gu, attended. A KAI official said, "With the conclusion of this year's wage and collective agreement negotiations, we declared a win-win pact."
President Kim that day engaged the union through on-site, field-centered management and expressed a commitment to normalize management. He also took part as the chief negotiator in this year's wage and collective agreement talks and wrapped up the negotiations early. Chairperson Kim also promised to cooperate with President Kim's resolve to normalize management, and urged a win-win relationship with the union by proposing improvements to the organization and corporate culture.
Through this agreement, KAI will build a sound corporate culture and work to share the benefits and guarantee the rights and interests tied to achieving management goals. The union will focus on mass production of the KF-21, a Korean fighter, and deliveries of core aircraft, and will join in quality management.
With this agreement as a starting point, KAI plans to mend labor-management conflict and concentrate all efforts on normalizing management and strengthening global competitiveness. KAI previously set this year's management target at 5.7306 trillion won in revenue, up 58.1% from a year earlier.
