LG Energy Solution will strengthen win-win cooperation with partner companies.
LG Energy Solution said on the 6th that it held a "win-win growth partnership agreement ceremony" at the Ochang Energy Plant in North Chungcheong with more than 20 people in attendance, including Song Jae-bong, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea (Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, North Chungcheong), partner company CEO Lee Dong-chan of POL, and Kim Woo-seop, head of the Communication Center at LG Energy Solution, and unveiled various win-win programs to support the sustainable growth of partner companies.
The ceremony was organized to have LG Energy Solution and its partner companies comply with fair-trade laws and regulations and enhance their mutual competitiveness through active cooperation.
On the day, LG Energy Solution said it will run several win-win cooperation programs for the sustainable growth of partner companies, including financial support, technology protection support, hiring support, and management stabilization support.
In finance, the company decided to continue expanding low-interest loan support, simplifying procedures for issuing credit guarantees, and establishing a transparent management system for payment information so partner companies can respond stably amid rapidly changing business conditions.
In technology, it will introduce a technology data escrow system that safely deposits core technologies and trade secrets with a trusted third-party institution to protect partner companies' technologies.
It will also strengthen support for securing and developing talent by operating a dedicated online recruitment page and expanding hiring support and training programs to bolster the workforce competitiveness of partner companies. In addition, it plans to provide both direct and indirect management support, including consulting on environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulatory compliance, dispatching and training specialists, smart learning support, and sharing an employee benefits mall.
Song Jae-bong of the Democratic Party of Korea said, "Financial support, technology protection, talent development, and ESG responses are the areas most needed on the ground by partner companies," adding, "The National Assembly will continue to provide the necessary policy and institutional backing so that a fair subcontracting transaction order takes root on the ground and the secondary battery industry ecosystem in North Chungcheong can grow even stronger."
