Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said on the 6th that it selected 10 teams to advance to the finals in the in-house artificial intelligence transformation (AX) challenge, which it held to strengthen employees' ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) and spread a culture of workplace innovation.
The in-house AX challenge is a companywide competition in which employees identify inconveniences and inefficiencies in their work and improve them with AI-based services or propose workplace innovation plans using AI coding tools. It was designed so that even employees without development expertise can lead service development themselves.
This challenge received a total of 41 proposals in two categories: work efficiency and customer service improvement. Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) selected 10 proposals with strong creativity and high potential for use and dissemination through a review.
The selected proposals include: ▲ AI-enabled policy fund performance indicator check program ▲ AI-based corporations evaluation work assistant ▲ Advancement of the occupational safety and health management system through AI-based ad hoc risk assessment.
Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) plans to run an intensive training course through August to enhance AI utilization capabilities for the 10 selected teams and support project implementation and service advancement with expert guidance. After verifying user testing and service stability through October, it plans to select and reward four outstanding cases in November.
Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) Vice President Lee Byung-chul said, "This challenge had frontline practitioners define problems themselves and implement solutions with AI technology," and added, "We will continue to strengthen employees' AI utilization capabilities and produce workplace innovation outcomes that the public can feel in their daily lives."
