The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises said on the 6th that it is recruiting participants for the "TV home shopping onboarding support program" to expand sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The application period runs through the 22nd. The program is designed to support TV home shopping broadcast opportunities for small enterprises and microbusiness owners struggling to secure sales channels. It is operated by KBIZ to diversify distribution channels and strengthen product market competitiveness.
Eligible applicants are small enterprises and microbusiness owners that produce consumer goods in Korea and are enrolled in Yellow Umbrella (the mutual aid program for small enterprises and microbusiness owners). Corporations wishing to participate should submit an online application on the KBIZ website by the deadline.
Onboarding corporations for broadcast will be selected in June after reviews including document screening and consultations with home shopping MDs. Products from selected corporations will be given one live broadcast opportunity (50 minutes) on Home&Shopping in the second half of this year. Starting with this program, a rebroadcast opportunity will also be provided to reduce the burden of unsold inventory from live broadcasts.
Yang Chan-hoe, head of the Innovation Growth Headquarters at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, said, "TV home shopping broadcasts are a very good opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises that are struggling to develop sales channels to widely promote their products," and added, "We look forward to strong interest and participation from small and medium-sized enterprises producing excellent products."
