Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) held a demo day to support fundraising and growth for promising startups, moving to energize the startup ecosystem.
Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) said it held the "IBK Changgong Daejeon 9th demo day" on the 29th at Lotte City Hotel Daejeon. The event was organized as part of the first-half 2026 IBK Changgong Daejeon 9th incubation program.
"IBK Changgong" is a startup incubation platform operated by Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK). Based on the bank's accumulated small and midsize business finance know-how, consulting capabilities, and network, it supports the growth of innovative startups. The name "Changgong (創工)" carries the meanings of both a "factory of startups" and "soar into the blue sky." It operates in major hubs nationwide, including Mapo, Guro, Daejeon, Busan, Gwangju, and Daegu.
For the Daejeon 9th program, JB Ventures, which operates the Daejeon Center, provided tailored growth support for each corporation. The selected corporations took part in a range of programs from January 2026 for about four months, including financial support, management consulting, IR capability building, and industry-academia-research technology matching, strengthening their business competitiveness.
A total of 11 corporations, including Solarstic, mAy-I, Nubinda, Navipra, Colosseum Corporation, StudioLab, Dion Energy, Metafarmers, VSPharmTech, BNSR, and MADE, delivered IR presentations, showcasing their technological prowess and business competitiveness.
Judging involved representatives from major investment institutions, including Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), 500 Global Korea, LB Investment, and Korea Development Bank (KDB) Infrastructure Asset Management, who evaluated the corporations' growth potential and investment appeal. After the IR presentations, networking continued between participating corporations and investment firms, with active discussions on real investment reviews and cooperation.
