Kim Seung-youn, chairman of Hanwha Group, visited the Hanwha Eagles' home stadium in Daejeon for the first time this year to encourage the players and fans.
Hanwha said on the 30th, ahead of its home game against the SSG Landers, that Chairman Kim would visit. Kim is the Hanwha Eagles' club owner.
The club said, "Chairman Kim Seung-youn visited the home stadium for the first time this season to encourage the players who are doing their best despite difficulties early in the season and to support the team together with the fans who continue their unwavering support."
Hanwha, last year's runner-up in the Korean Series, has fallen short of expectations this season, struggling with bullpen instability and issues with balance between offense and defense. As of the 29th, it was tied for seventh at 11-15.
Still, fan enthusiasm remains strong. Through the game that day, Hanwha recorded sellouts in 15 of 16 home games, continuing to draw high interest and support.
