HD Hyundai XiteSolution said on the 24th that it recently received the S Mark safety certification from the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA). The certification covered 17 models of small electric forklifts of 3.5 tons or less.
The S Mark is an official safety certification that the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA) grants after comprehensively evaluating a product's safety and a manufacturer's quality control capabilities. To receive it, a product must pass technical documentation review, business sites and establishment audits, and product testing under standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA).
Customers who purchase certified products are eligible for government subsidies and policy loan support and receive purchase recommendation benefits for domestic public institutions.
HD Hyundai XiteSolution plans to use this S Mark certification as a springboard to boost market share by emphasizing product safety and quality competitiveness.
Electric forklifts account for about 60% of the domestic forklift market, and the shift to electrification is underway as demand grows for eco-friendly, low-noise equipment centered on logistics centers and urban worksites. HD Hyundai XiteSolution currently sells around 1,500 electric forklifts annually in Korea.
An HD Hyundai XiteSolution official said, "This safety certification recognizes both our product safety and our quality management system," adding, "We will expand the range of certified models and provide products that are even safer and more reliable."
