Kia said on the 21st that it will officially sell The 2027 K8, a model-year update of the midsize-large sedan K8.
The new K8 features safety and convenience features as standard. Kia said it has raised safety and convenience by making a head-up display (HUD), which reduces distraction while driving, standard on the top Signature trim.
Advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features have also been expanded. The Noblesse trim comes standard with Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), navigation-based smart cruise control, and rear occupant alert, while the Best Selection trim includes blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and safe exit assist as standard.
In 2024 on Aug., the K8 gained preview electronic control suspension and highway body motion control through a product enhancement. As a result, the vehicle can sense road conditions and precisely control body movements. With a body longer than 5 m, it also secures interior and cargo space and achieves combined fuel efficiency of 18.1 km/L for the hybrid model.
Kia is also running a "Smart Owner purchase program" to mark the launch of the 2027 K8. Customers who sign a contract for the 2027 K8 by the 31st of next month and take delivery in June will receive an additional 300,000 won in Kia Members points. With the special consumption tax cut set to end at the end of June, Kia plans to compensate customers who do not receive their vehicles within June with 700,000 won.
A Kia official said, "The 2027 K8 is a model that further strengthens competitiveness as a symbolic sedan representing Kia," adding, "Based on the K8's unique premium design and highly preferred safety and convenience features, it will deliver satisfaction to midsize-large sedan customers."
