The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on the 19th it will run a task force (TF) to identify tasks for the "normalization of abnormalities." The goal is to fix unreasonable practices and systems occurring on the ground at small and midsize businesses.
If the public proposes tasks in areas such as small and midsize businesses, startups, and small merchants, they will proceed after a first review and group discussions. Matters that can be improved through internal guidelines will be implemented immediately. If revisions to enforcement decrees or other laws are needed, the goal is to complete the overhaul within the year.
The TF, chaired by First Vice Minister No Yong-seok, will include private-sector experts and working-level officials. It will manage every step from identifying tasks to making improvements. Working-level officials will submit internal proposals, and a public proposal window will open on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) website to collect on-the-ground feedback.
First Vice Minister No Yong-seok said, "We will rationally improve systems related to small and midsize businesses to boost dynamism across the ecosystem," adding, "This will not be a one-off; follow-up measures will continue."
