The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on the 19th it will push a "global small business owners" development policy that selects 100 small business owner corporations and provides up to 1 billion won. It aims to strengthen small business owner exports by supporting product development, marketing, and the development of overseas sales channels.
Corporations with annual export performance of $30,000 or more can apply. For small business owners, it will provide education on tariff and customs clearance for items such as food, cosmetics, fashion, and household goods. It will help improve products for overseas sales and establish localization strategies.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) will provide up to 1 billion won in commercialization funds for export brand design, certification, and acquisition of industrial property rights. It will help develop online and offline sales channels, including entry into global platforms and participation in international trade fairs.
Details are available on the Small Business 24 website (www.sbiz24.kr) and elsewhere. Applications will be accepted from the 20th to the 15th of next month.
