HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the mid-holding company for shipbuilding under HD Hyundai, said on the 16th it won an order worth about 745.1 billion won from a European shipowner for a total of four vessels: two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers and two pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs).
The LPG carriers will be built by HD Hyundai Samho and delivered by Apr. 2029, and the car carriers will be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered in the first half of 2029.
Including this order, HD Hyundai has so far this year won a total of 72 vessels worth $7.75 billion (about 11.4142 trillion won), achieving 33.3% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion (about 34.3263 trillion won).
By ship type, the tally is 12 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 20 container ships, 11 LPG/ammonia carriers, seven crude oil carriers, 20 product carriers, and two PCTCs.
