LS Electric said on the 16th that it has rebranded the solar power plant transfer platform "Haetbitgil Brokerage" as "Haetbitgil Plus" and will newly introduce it as an integrated service covering the full life cycle of solar power plant asset.
Haetbitgil Plus is a digital transfer platform where users can buy and sell solar power plants without fees. As the market for new solar power plant installations has stagnated and individual-to-individual (C2C) transactions of secondhand listings have increased, LS Electric launched it last year based on its experience in solar power plant–related business.
With this overhaul, it newly supports services such as the previously offered solar power plant revenue analysis report, a 1-minute inverter replacement comparison quote service, and a revenue-boosting service linked with a virtual power plant (VPP; Virtual Power Plant).
The flagship service, the "Certification Report," analyzes the expected revenue of a solar power plant based on past generation data provided by the seller, helping nonexperts assess the value of a plant.
The comparison quote service helps businesses seeking to replace aged inverters find an EPC contractor at a reasonable price. An inverter is a key component of a solar power system that converts direct current (DC) electricity produced by solar cells into alternating current (AC) electricity suitable for the grid.
It also provides business consulting to generate additional revenue by linking with a VPP. A VPP is a smart energy system that aggregates distributed solar, wind, and energy storage system (ESS) resources and operates them like a single power plant.
Currently, renewable energy power producers are bearing output curtailment without compensation, but by participating in a VPP, they can expect compensation and additional revenue through items such as supplemental settlement payments for output control and capacity settlement payments based on capacity.
An LS Electric official said, "Haetbitgil Plus was launched with the goal of creating a transparent solar power plant transaction market that even nonexperts can trust," and added, "Starting with this rebranding, we will grow into Korea's leading solar platform that goes beyond a simple buy-sell platform for solar power plants to provide integrated services needed across the entire process of acquiring, operating, and managing solar power plant businesses."
