LS Electric said on the 15th that it won a total of three awards at Germany's iF Design Award 2026.
LS Electric's smart circuit breaker "Compact ACB" and next-generation automation solution "XGT Integrated Safety PLC" won in the product design category, while the energy consulting platform "Beyond X-Enable" won in the service design category. The iF Design Award is considered one of the world's three major design awards, along with Germany's Red Dot Design Award and the U.S. IDEA.
Compact ACB is a smart circuit breaker that maximizes space efficiency and combines digital functions, improving operating convenience by enabling settings and monitoring via NFC and Bluetooth. It was designed so the functions of the operating elements can be distinguished intuitively.
XGT Integrated Safety PLC (programmable logic controller) is a product that controls various devices used at industrial sites. It integrates high-speed, high-precision control and safety functions into a single CPU, and improves installation, wiring, and maintenance efficiency through an OLED display, front ports, and a modular structure.
Beyond X-Enable is a platform that provides carbon neutrality–related energy consulting services based on artificial intelligence (AI) and the cloud, designed to quickly link decision-making and execution at industrial sites through a dashboard and monthly reports.
An LS Electric official said, "The outcome of meticulously realizing the safety, intuitiveness, and usability required at industrial sites through design led to this award," adding, "We will continue to pursue product and service design innovation across our power and automation businesses that aligns with the smart grid and smart factory era."
