LG AI Research said on the 14th that it will work with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Kiwoom Securities to promote a financial artificial intelligence (AI) agent service for individual investors.
On the previous day at Kiwoom Securities' headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, LG AI Research, LSEG, and Kiwoom Securities signed a strategic three-party business agreement. The event was attended by Eom Ju-sung, CEO of Kiwoom Securities, Nicolas Falmagne, LSEG global head of sales, and Lim Woo-hyung, head of LG AI Research.
Through this agreement, the three companies will carry out: enhancing retail AI investment insights that provide stock-by-stock prediction scores and explanations in an easy-to-understand format for individual investors on Kiwoom Securities' investor platform; expanding asset management AI solutions by jointly developing asset management–focused services that combine AI and data platform capabilities; and joint marketing to lead standards in the AI-based investment service market.
The three companies expect this collaboration to become Korea's first commercialized case of a service for individual investors offering "explainable AI investing." LG AI Research plans to implement the "explainable AI investing" service with partners by using EXAONE-BI (EXAONE-Business Intelligence), a financial AI agent that answers the question "why?".
EXAONE-BI is a "financial AI agent" in which AI analyzes data and provides the basis and explanations for its output along with prediction scores. Since early this year, LG AI Research has been selling to investors worldwide, in partnership with LSEG, a data product made from scores predicted by "EXAONE-BI" and accompanying reports, called AEFS (AI-Powered Equity Forecast Score).
Eom Ju-sung, CEO of Kiwoom Securities, said, "Our goal is to create an environment where individual investors can make investment decisions more easily through investment services that combine AI technology and global data," adding, "We will continue to advance our asset management services and platform to improve customers' investment convenience and utilization."
Lim Woo-hyung, head of LG AI Research, said, "EXAONE BI is evolving into a practical AI agent that assists human judgment, with expert agents collaborating to perform everything from analysis to prediction and report generation," adding, "It is significant as a case where LG's vertical AI technology is linked with global financial infrastructure and connected to actual services."
