Porsche Korea said on the 7th it will officially launch in Korea the new top-of-the-line model of the brand's flagship 911, the "new 911 Turbo S." It will be released as two models, coupe and cabriolet, with deliveries to Korean customers starting in May.
The new 911 Turbo S is equipped with a newly developed high-performance powertrain. It delivers up to 711 horsepower, and torque, which determines instantaneous acceleration, reaches a maximum of 81.6 kg·m, boasting the most powerful performance among mass-produced 911s to date.
With the T-hybrid system, output is improved by 61 horsepower over the previous generation, and it takes 2.5 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h (zero to 100). Top speed is 322 km/h.
The new 911 Turbo S reflects Porsche's cross-series Turbo design strategy. The Turbo-only color "Turbonite" is applied to the crest (logo), the "Turbo S" lettering on the rear, and the rear wing slats. A wider body and track than the Carrera, rear air intakes, and a titanium exhaust system emphasize the distinction of the top model.
The interior also features the Turbonite color. Color accents on the door panels, steering wheel, dashboard, and around the center console highlight the identity of the Turbo model. Sports Seats Plus with 18-way adjustment are fitted, and the headrests are embossed with "Turbo S" lettering.
Extensive personalization is also possible through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. From interior trim stitching to the vehicle key, customers can tailor the car with more than 100 exterior colors, a carbon lightweight roof, and, for the first time, carbon lightweight wiper arms (supports).
Including VAT, domestic prices for the new 911 Turbo S coupe and cabriolet are 342.7 million won and 358.9 million won, respectively.
