Hyundai Motor said on the 6th that it has established Hyundai Move, a subsidiary-type standard workplace for people with disabilities funded with 100% equity.
The mission of Hyundai Move carries the meaning that workers with disabilities grow into members of society through work and that the sincere results they create move customers' hearts. It also includes the dynamism of continuing to move and move forward.
The Hyundai Move business site in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province will begin full-scale hiring of people with disabilities this month and is scheduled to start operations in the second half of the year. Hyundai Move said it plans to provide systematic job training to workers with disabilities to develop them into talent with professional capabilities in each field.
Hyundai Move's first business is manufacturing a "K-dessert" bakery that reinterprets Korean traditional snacks such as baked yakgwa and rice madeleines.
Going forward, the company plans to gradually expand its business scope into space services, including operating cafes, managing in-house spaces, and managing business vehicles within major Hyundai Motor business sites, starting with producing eco-friendly products using paper materials.
Hyundai Move pursues a growth-support business model to build and operate a comprehensive care system for the independence and sustained growth of workers with disabilities. To that end, it has created a disability-friendly environment across its business site so that workers with disabilities can move and work without inconvenience.
Hyundai Move also decided to improve the vocational skills of workers with disabilities by operating self-development education and various cultural and hobby programs outside working hours. It will also introduce a mental health support program for emotional stability.
