Jeju Air said on the 6th that the cumulative number of beneficiaries of its discount program for survivors and bereaved families of the Jeju April 3 Incident has totaled 112,545.
Jeju Air's discount benefit for survivors and bereaved families of the April 3 Incident reduces regular domestic fares by 50% for survivors and 40% for bereaved families.
It operates year-round without distinction between peak and off-peak seasons, and it is not applied in combination with other status-based discounts such as the Jeju resident discount. Introduced in 2018, the program had only 383 users in its first year, but last year it recorded 29,526.
Jeju Air received a plaque of appreciation from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province in 2021 in recognition of contributions including efforts toward a complete resolution of the Jeju April 3 Incident, and last year it received another plaque for contributing to the welfare of survivors and bereaved families.
