Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said on the 3rd that it held the "2026 promising venture KOSME IR mart" on the 2nd at Seongam Art Hall in Seoul for corporations supported by KOSME's combined financing of loans and equity.
Held as the first session of the year, the event was prepared to provide promising corporations, whose technology and business feasibility were recognized through support from Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), with opportunities to attract follow-up private investment. Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said it is meaningful to build a virtuous-cycle investment foundation where the public and private sectors cooperate by strengthening touchpoints with investors after policy fund support.
The event began with an opening ceremony wishing for successful fundraising and the revitalization of the venture investment ecosystem, followed by investment attraction presentations (IR pitching) by each corporation and networking among private investors (VCs). About 50 investment officials, including presenting corporations and judges, attended the venue, adding to the on-site excitement.
Six venture corporations with competitiveness in deep tech and advanced materials, parts and equipment participated in this IR session. From AI and Robotics fields such as drones and Smart Logistics robots to eco-friendly process-based battery circular resource technology and next-generation Power Semiconductor (GaN wafer), innovative corporations leading the future presented their respective growth strategies and visions.
In the subsequent one-on-one matching consultations with VCs, in-depth discussions were held focusing on the potential for fundraising, along with feedback from an investment screening perspective.
Kim Il-ho, director of corporate finance at Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), said, "We hope that the promising venture corporations supported by KOSME will use this IR mart to broaden their touchpoints with private investors and to attract the follow-up investment needed at the corporate value-up stage," adding, "We will actively support them so they can become key players leading the venture investment ecosystem by serving as a bridge between corporations and investors."
