Kia said on the 1st (local time) that it was named Best Manufacturer at the 2026 TopGear EV Awards hosted by TopGear, a leading British automotive outlet.
Marking its seventh year, the TopGear EV Awards selects the best electric vehicles. The Best Manufacturer category was newly created this year to recognize automakers leading the transition to electrification. Kia won Best Crossover EV with the EV3 at last year's TopGear EV Awards.
TopGear deputy editor Ollie Kew said, "From the EV3 to the large sport utility vehicle (SUV) EV9, the sleek EV6, and the box-shaped PV5, a well-honed level of completeness is consistently felt across Kia's electric vehicles," and added, "With reliable range, approachable performance, and satisfying ride comfort, Kia is confidently building an EV lineup that spans entry models like the EV2 to high-performance SUVs like the EV9 GT."
A Kia official said, "In recent years, Kia has introduced a variety of EVs in Europe, and various models are being loved in several categories," and added, "With this award as a momentum, Kia will do its best to satisfy customers."
