The 2026 mid-sized enterprises job fair was held on the 31st at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. The fair was organized to expand practical employment opportunities by consolidation mid-sized enterprises and young talent.
Held under the slogan "fittingly linking corporations and talent," the event was co-hosted by the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea (FOMEK), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Student Aid Foundation, and the Korea Industrial Technology Association.
At the event, the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea (FOMEK) and the Korea Industrial Technology Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly operate job information sharing and employment support programs. Using the agreement as a springboard, the two organizations agreed to expand hiring-linked programs and work together to reduce mismatches between corporations and talent.
About 90 mid-sized enterprises in the food, semiconductor, bio, and IT sectors, including Sempio Food Company, NEPES, and Hanmi Pharmaceutical, took part in the fair. Around 6,000 job seekers visited the venue to check hiring information and seek interview opportunities.
The fair centered on one-on-one hiring consultations and on-site interviews by corporation. In addition, various programs were held, including a hiring briefing for outstanding mid-sized enterprises, a lecture on 2026 hiring trends, and a lecture on how to use AI-based job preparation.
In particular, this year a "pat-pat mind charging station" kiosk was newly introduced to support psychological recovery for young people experiencing job search breaks. A one-on-one on-site job mentoring program was also prepared, focusing on key roles arising from the spread of AI, such as game development, robotics, and IT platform development.
Kim Min, executive managing director at the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea (FOMEK), said, "We aim to consolidation the vision of outstanding mid-sized enterprises with the futures of young people," adding, "We will expand practical linkage and support programs so that we can lay the groundwork for balanced national development by revitalizing regional economies."
