Home&Shopping appointed a woman as CEO for the first time since its founding.
Home&Shopping said on the 27th that it held a shareholders' meeting and a board meeting and appointed Kwon Jin-mi, head of sales, as the new CEO. It is the first woman CEO since its 2011 establishment.
The company said it appointed the CEO through an internal promotion to respond to changes in the internal and external business environment and to secure stability in organizational operations.
Kwon joined Home&Shopping as product team leader at the time of its founding and has since led the sales division. Kwon is regarded as the right person to provide stable management based on on-site experience and organizational management capabilities.
Under Kwon's leadership, Home&Shopping plans to strengthen fundamentals and raise management efficiency to build a stable business base. The company also plans to continue its public roles, including expanding sales channels for small and midsize enterprise products, strengthening shared growth with partners, and fostering a fair distribution environment.
On the same day, Home&Shopping injected new energy into the organization by appointing Lee Sung-hun as head of the sales division and Han Bok-hyun as head of the broadcasting division, both previously Head of Team.
