CJ Logistics said on the 26th that it signed a business agreement with Valex, a specialized logistics company for special cargo, to provide a dedicated delivery service for ultra-high–priced goods.
The agreement was made in light of rising logistics demand from e-commerce companies strengthening their luxury categories as the share of online transaction of luxury goods and precious metals increases.
CJ Logistics will begin the service for corporations starting in April this year. It plans to expand it to a personal parcel service for consumers trading secondhand luxury goods in the future.
Valex is a special logistics corporations that specializes in transporting items requiring high-level security, such as cash, marketable securities, valuables, and national exam papers, and it began a dedicated delivery service for high-priced goods in 2020.
The signing ceremony was held on the 25th at Valex's Seoul headquarters, with Yoon Jae-seung, head of the O-NE division at CJ Logistics, and Joo Ki-uk, CEO of Valex, in attendance.
A CJ Logistics official said, "Through collaboration with Valex, we have established a premium delivery service that customers can trust," and added, "We will maximize customer satisfaction by continuously diversifying delivery options."
