Minister Han Seong-sook of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups reported assets of about 22.30157 billion won. That is about 185.86 million won more than a year earlier. Assets increased due to higher deposits from stock sales and changes in the value of some assets.
According to the regular asset disclosure for public officials released on the 26th by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Personnel Management, the Minister's assets consisted of land worth 674.18 million won, buildings worth 9.74116 billion won, deposits of 6.50191 billion won, and securities of 5.13617 billion won. The Minister also holds 245 million won in bonds, 15 million won in gold, and 20.29 million won in virtual assets.
The Minister holds 894 shares of Apple, 466 shares of Nvidia, 2,166 shares of Tesla, 580 shares of Palantir, and shares of Nike and American Express, among others. Naver shares were fully disposed of.
Real estate holdings include the Asia Athletes' Village apartment in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul (2.73981 billion won) owned by the Minister, an officetel in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (2.07463 billion won), and a single-family house in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (1.5 billion won). In line with the Lee Jae-myung administration's policy stance on multiple-home owners, the Minister is currently moving to sell some real estate.
The Minister oversaw overall services while serving as head of the search quality center and head of the service division at NHN, the predecessor of Naver. After serving as executive vice president overseeing services in 2015, the Minister became Naver's first female CEO in 2017 and led management for six years until 2022.
No Yong-seok, first Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), reported total assets of 1.45846 billion won. That was about 27.48 million won less than the previous year.
The holdings included buildings such as an apartment in Wirye, Hanam, Gyeonggi, worth 1.427 billion won; deposits of 350.9 million won; and securities of 20.54 million won. Financial debt of 463.06 million won was reflected. Assets decreased due to changes in asset values and partial debt repayment.
Vice Minister No entered public service through the 41st civil service exam and served as a deputy director in the export-import team of the Trade and Investment Promotion Office at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and as a deputy director in the automobile and shipbuilding division at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy. Last year, No was appointed the first Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS).
