LS Electric said on the 26th that it received the main award in the corporations institutional sector at the 2026 GEAN Awards at the 13th International e-Mobility Expo held at Jeju Shinhwa World on the 25th.
LS Electric said it was recognized for leading carbon-neutral industries and sustainable management based on its smart energy technology. The GEAN Awards annually select and honor one each of corporations, cities, and associations that lead carbon neutrality in response to the climate crisis and take the lead in developing smart cities and the e-mobility industry.
LS Electric received the highest evaluation among a total of nine candidates. In the city institutional sector, the Guangzhou Nansha District Government in China won, and in the association institutional sector, the Malaysian Electric Vehicle Association won.
LS Electric was recognized for its efforts to transition to carbon neutrality through power efficiency based on smart energy technology. By building distribution and transmission/substation systems, supporting manufacturing corporations in achieving RE100 (100% renewable energy) through linking solar power with energy storage systems (ESS), and providing energy-efficiency solutions, it is contributing to the creation of a low-carbon industrial ecosystem.
Seo Jang-cheol, executive director at LS Electric, said, "As the power industry undergoes digitization and decarbonization at the same time, our smart energy business strategy, which we have pursued without interruption, has begun to be recognized in the global market," adding, "We will further strengthen eco-friendly power and energy solutions to continue contributing to carbon neutrality and the development of the e-mobility industrial ecosystem."
