EcoPro Materials, a precursor company for secondary batteries, said on the 23rd that it appointed Lee Gyu-bong as its new CEO.
Before this, the new CEO served as chief operating officer (COO, executive vice president) at EcoPro Materials. Born in 1970, Lee graduated from Hanyang University's department of inorganic materials engineering and served as Director General of strategic planning at the Samsung SDI research institute. At EcoPro BM, Lee served as head of research planning (senior managing director) and head of business operations (executive vice president).
The new CEO said, "I will build EcoPro Materials into a strong company that anyone wants to benchmark," and added, "I will ensure the company's growth leads to personal growth, so that not only the company but also the value of each executive and employee can grow together."
EcoPro Materials said it plans to use this appointment to solidify its technology leadership in the rapidly changing global battery materials market and accelerate diversification of its customers.
