Pixel Software, a corporations operating an integrated IT reservation system specialized for golf courses, said on the 20th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Jeollanam-do Park Golf Association for "digital transformation of park golf and fair, transparent operations."
Park golf, a portmanteau of park and golf, is a sport that can be enjoyed simply and cheaply in small green spaces such as urban parks. As of May last year, there were 423 park golf courses nationwide.
The Jeonnam Park Golf Association and Pixel Software plan to secure convenience and transparency in reservation management through the artificial intelligence (AI) operating platform "Voice Park." Currently, many local governments and facility management corporations are entrusted with operating park golf courses, which run on a first-come, first-served reservation system.
Voice Park supports ▲ reservation performance ▲ sales settlement ▲ policy support reports ▲ daily, weekly, and monthly time-slot operation reports, among others. It also manages situations such as server downtime or reservation surges.
The Jeonnam Park Golf Association plans to introduce the system for a nationwide park golf tournament to be held in Jun. and then expand it across the province in the second half. The association will lead the establishment of on-site operating standards and member training, while Pixel Software will be responsible for data management and system advancement.
Jeollanam-do Park Golf Association President Park Gyeong-rae said, "It is meaningful that we can resolve, with an innovation platform, the inconvenience and conflict of first-come, first-served reservations that tens of thousands of members in the province have experienced," adding, "Jeonnam will be the first to establish an advanced park golf culture that guarantees a fair opportunity for everyone."
Pixel Software CEO Kang Seong-mu noted, "Voice Park, which will overcome the limits of local government-entrusted reservation systems, will meet Jeonnam's excellent infrastructure to lead the popularization of park golf," and added, "For successful operation of the nationwide tournament in Jun. and expansion within the province, the two companies will work together to build a mid- to long-term digital ecosystem."
