Noroo Paint said on the 20th that it appointed President Kim Jong-woo as the new CEO through the 2026 regular shareholders meeting.
The personnel move was made to strengthen execution in overseas operations and B2B-focused businesses in response to changes in the global management environment and to bolster stability in organizational operations.
CEO Kim Jong-woo is a professional manager with experience across the paint industry in sales, organizational operations, and overseas business. In particular, based on experience operating overseas subsidiaries centered on China and managing global business, Kim has built on-the-ground operational capabilities.
Kim began at Korea Paint & Ink, then served as a sales executive at Noroo Autocoating, an executive in the overseas business division, and Deputy Minister of the China Headquarters at Noroo V-Chemical. Since 2020, Kim has served as CEO of Noroo Autocoating, steadily leading B2B businesses focused on automotive and industrial coatings.
With this CEO appointment, Noroo Paint plans to strengthen links between technology competitiveness, sales, and overseas business around core B2B businesses such as high-performance automotive and industrial coatings.
Meanwhile, former CEO Kim Hak-geun will remain as an executive. Drawing on experience in sales and organizational operations, Kim is expected to support continuity and stability in management.
