As demand for urban sport utility vehicles (SUVs) continues, preference is rising among younger buyers for models that can express dynamic individuality. In response, GM Korea's Chevrolet Trax Crossover is showcasing a differentiated design through the "RS lineup."
According to the industry on the 18th, Chevrolet has newly added the "RS Ignite Edition" to the 2026 Trax Crossover.
The RS Ignite Edition is a special edition that further crystallizes the RS design identity. On the exterior, it applies an RS-exclusive gloss black grille, a carbon-look front skid plate insert that reproduces the pattern and texture of carbon fiber, and carbon-look outside mirror covers.
At the rear, a rear red light-emitting diode (LED) black bowtie intuitively expresses the edition's concept. The front design, completed in tandem with the Triton chrome grille bar, is intended to achieve restrained sportiness and a strong presence at the same time.
Inside, an RS black-and-red point interior has been applied. A black headliner enhances unity with the exterior design. Red-point air vents and a gloss black instrument panel (IP, dashboard and cluster surroundings), along with a D-cut steering wheel and seats with red stitching, give the RS's signature dynamic vibe.
It also includes an all-weather cargo liner (trunk floor), all-weather floor liners (1st and 2nd rows, cabin floor), and sport pedal covers. A Chevrolet official said, "With the exterior and interior organically connected, the configuration of the RS Ignite Edition goes beyond decorative elements to realize the RS's signature sporty sensibility throughout the cabin space where the driver stays."
The 2026 Trax Crossover introduces two new exterior colors. On the RS trim, the new "Chili Pepper Red," with increased brightness and saturation, replaces the previous "Milano Red," giving a younger and more intense impression. The ACTIV trim adds "Mochaccino Beige," which evokes an urban outdoor mood.
A Chevrolet official said, "With the launch of the RS Ignite Edition, the new color lineup expands the 2026 Trax Crossover's design choices for drivers with diverse tastes and lifestyles," adding, "With the RS design identity completed by red points and carbon-look details, and a sensuous color lineup, the Trax Crossover is expanding the new possibilities of style that an urban crossover SUV can express."
