S-Oil said on the 17th that it held an event on the 16th at the SamsungSDS Sangam Data Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to mark the full-fledged launch of an IT integrated operations (ITO) project with SamsungSDS.
S-Oil signed an integrated ITO contract with SamsungSDS last year and selected SamsungSDS in March this year as the operator for integrated IT operations for three years. SamsungSDS is expected to provide comprehensive IT operations services, including application and IT infrastructure operations, security, IT diagnostics, and cloud migration consulting.
In particular, S-Oil transferred its key IT infrastructure to the SamsungSDS data center for the first time in about 10 years. Through this project, S-Oil plans to build a stable IT operations system and accelerate digital transformation.
President Ryu Yeol of S-Oil said, "The transfer of the data center and the launch of the integrated ITO project will serve as an opportunity to further advance S-Oil's IT infrastructure operations system."
President Lee June-hee of SamsungSDS said, "Through the integrated ITO project with S-Oil, we will support the stable operation of IT services while actively supporting the shift to a cloud-based IT environment and digital innovation."
