Bentley Motors Korea said on the 12th it will launch the large high-performance sport utility vehicle (SUV) "The New Bentayga Speed" in Korea.
The New Bentayga Speed is the top high-performance model in the Bentayga SUV lineup. It is equipped with the next-generation 4.0L V8 twin-turbo engine, the most powerful among Bentley V8 engines produced to date. Maximum output is 650 horsepower (PS) and peak torque is 86.7 kg·m. Bentley Motors Korea said it delivers maximum torque across a broad, practical range of 2,250–4,500 rpm, enabling effortless acceleration.
Zero to 100 kph from a standstill is 3.6 seconds, shorter than the previous model with the W12 engine (3.9 seconds) and the existing Bentayga V8 S model (4.5 seconds). Standard top speed is 301 kph, and when fitted with Bentley's first-ever 23-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes are applied together and the top speed increases to 310 kph.
The New Bentayga Speed offers three drive modes: Comfort for enhanced ride comfort, Bentley for dynamic driving, and Sport for extreme performance. In particular, Bentley Korea said the Sport mode in The New Bentayga Speed elevates the potential of a high-performance SUV beyond the previous model.
The New Bentayga Speed's certified fuel economy in Korea is a combined 6.6 km/L (city 5.7 km/L, highway 8.3 km/L), and its carbon dioxide emissions are 261 g/km.
