Hankook Tire & Technology said on the 12th it will supply its ultra-high-performance sports tire, the "Ventus S1 evo3," as original equipment for the facelifted model of Mercedes-Benz's "The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class."
Benz grants the "Mercedes Original (MO)" certification mark for original equipment supply only to parts makers with top-tier technology and quality. Through technological collaboration with Benz, Hankook Tire succeeded in developing an optimal tire that applies low-noise design and high-speed driving stability technology, earning the "MO" mark.
The 19-inch "Ventus S1 evo3" fitted to the S-Class is a product that delivers a balanced combination of excellent grip, precise handling, braking performance, and high-speed driving stability.
With this original equipment supply, Hankook Tire has further solidified its partnership with Benz. Previously, Hankook Tire has supplied original equipment tires for the Benz A, B, C, and E classes, the sport utility vehicle (SUV) GLC, and the GLC coupe. In 2024, it expanded its portfolio to include the high-performance sports car brand "Mercedes-AMG" and the "Mercedes-AMG GT coupe."
A Hankook Tire official said, "We plan to continue strengthening our technological leadership in the original equipment tire segment by pursuing technology innovation using world-class, state-of-the-art infrastructure including the headquarters 'Technoplex,' the high-tech research center 'Hankook Technodome,' and Asia's largest tire test track 'Hankook Technoring.'"
