Eastar Jet Co. said on the 12th that it posted an annual load factor of 90.14% last year, the highest among domestic airlines.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Aviation Information Portal System, Eastar Jet Co. operated 33,600 flights last year and supplied 6,329,790 seats.
Of those, 5,705,493 passengers boarded, resulting in this load factor.
Eastar Jet Co. explained that reasonable airfare, flexible route operations, and the comfortable environment of new aircraft contributed.
Eastar Jet Co. is operating 10 new B737-8 aircraft, equivalent to half of its 20-jet fleet.
Also, in last year's "immigration and emigration processing time service monitoring survey" led by Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), the carrier's check-in time was found to be 10 minutes 8 seconds, the shortest among Korean airlines.
