Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said on the 9th that it will hold a "social corporations exhibition" at the Seongsu-dong Seoul Urban Manufacturing Hub with the Seoul Business Agency to support expanding sales channels for social corporations.

This exhibition was prepared based on a business agreement for fostering micro manufacturers and youth startups signed in Nov. last year by Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) and the Seoul Business Agency. The two agencies planned the event to allow citizens to directly experience social corporations' products and values and to support participating corporations in expanding their sales channels.

A total of 22 corporations will participate in the exhibition, including 10 social corporations from the South Gyeongsang region and 12 social corporations (micro manufacturers) based in Seoul. The event runs through Apr. 3.

The exhibition theme is "spring," symbolizing a fresh start, growth and hope. It carries the meaning of re-highlighting the value of social corporations and cheering on a new leap forward. The exhibition space consists of six floors in total. On the first floor, a showroom introduces media art and flagship products from participating corporations. On the second floor, a media art experience center operates. From the third to the sixth floors, an exhibition and sales space has been created to sell products from participating corporations, such as crafts, household goods and dolls.

Going beyond simple product displays, the event will also present a media art exhibition that reinterprets the characteristics and value of social corporation products through video. In addition, in collaboration with small business owners in Seongsu-dong, it will offer various promotions such as in-store discount coupons to exhibition visitors, with the aim of helping boost sales in the local commercial district.

Kang Seok-jin, chair of Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), said, "Since the launch of the new administration, interest in the social solidarity economy aimed at revitalizing regional economies and easing polarization has been growing," adding, "We hope this exhibition will serve as a springboard for opening sales channels for social corporations, and KOSME will continue to support the development of new sales channels for social corporations and the spread of their products' excellence."
