SK On said on the 8th it will unveil an integrated package solution that expands its battery pack-level product portfolio at InterBattery 2026, to be held at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul, from the 11th to the 13th.
At this exhibition, SK On will introduce three CTP packages—pouch cell to pack (Cell to Pack, CTP), a pouch-integrated prismatic pack, and a large-surface cooling (LSC) CTP—along with one CMP package that uses a "cell-module-pack" structure.
The pouch CTP removes modules and integrates cells and the pack to raise energy density while lowering manufacturing costs. SK On is targeting commercial production in 2027. The pouch-integrated prismatic pack places mid-nickel pouch cells directly inside an aluminum prismatic case and is being developed with a goal of commercial production in 2028.
The LSC CTP directly bonds an aluminum cooling plate across the full broad surface between cells, delivering up to three times higher cooling performance than conventional indirect cooling. It will also showcase an immersion-cooling pack solution that combines CTP technology with SK Enmove's immersion cooling fluid technology.
By circulating an insulating cooling fluid directly inside the pack, it keeps battery temperatures uniform and is regarded as a next-generation thermal management technology that enhances safety and performance.
An SK On official said, "At this exhibition, we are unveiling SK On's unique CTP integrated package solution for the first time," adding, "We plan to continue expanding our battery product portfolio based on the creation of technological synergies with SK Enmove, including immersion cooling."
