Italian luxury car brand Maserati said on the 6th that it will appoint Gaurav Thapa as the new head of Maserati Korea effective Apr. 1. The move follows the end of the term of Takayuki Kimura, head of Maserati Korea and Japan.
Thapa, the new head, is an expert who has built a career in the automotive industry focused on sales strategy and network development. After working at Lamborghini Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Audi Japan, Thapa joined Maserati in 2018.
Since then, Thapa has overseen APAC business planning and operations and dealer network development, and, after the launch of Maserati Korea in Jul. 2024, has led domestic sales overall and network operations as sales director.
Meanwhile, Maserati also revamped its APAC operating structure. The newly established Maserati APAC organization covers China, Japan, Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, including Korea. Through this, the company plans to maximize operational efficiency in the region and pursue marketing and sales strategies optimized for each national market. Julie Taieb-Dutriaux, who has accumulated more than 25 years of international experience in the luxury automotive industry, will lead the organization's operations.
