The Training Institute of Korea Startup Accelerators and Early Stage Investors Association (K-AIA) will hold the 2026 commercial district planner practical one-day seminar on Apr. 7 at D-Station in Daejeon Technopark.
The seminar goes beyond the stage where accelerators (ACs) identify promising local startups and small merchants, recognizing the revitalization of the commercial districts they belong to as an important business task and sharing concrete methodologies and on-site cases.
In the main sessions, experts in local investment and commercial district planning will speak. Kim Yong-han, head of MI Strategy Research Institute, will lecture on the role of commercial district planners and market trends, and Min Uk-jo, head of CSP, will discuss local-based business under the theme "The system that manages a region, the structure of an area management company (AMC)." Kwon Hyuk-tae, head of Urban Dale Ventures, will share local investment cases and outcomes under the theme "Local field, tangible changes driven by investment."
An association official said, "Until now, ACs have focused on identifying individual startups, but now we need a perspective that accelerates entire commercial districts where corporations take root," adding, "It will go beyond simple introductory education to read policy trends and become a forum for exploration to confirm business possibilities for practical collaboration."
The program is intended for AC investment managers focused on local targets, local creators seeking to expand commercial district-based businesses, and prospective commercial district planners. Applications can be submitted by Mar. 27 on the Training Institute website of Korea Startup Accelerators and Early Stage Investors Association (K-AIA).
